In rare cases where an institution decides to cancel its Sciwheel subscription, users can retain access to everything already in their accounts, and will be automatically placed on our free 'basic' plan - more details below:
'Basic' Plan: What you CAN do:
-
You still retain access to all projects, references, notes, tags etc that you have already (you keep access to shared projects too, unless you or another member deletes you from the project)
-
You can change the email associated with the account if needed (provided you haven’t used Google or Facebook to register with us)
-
You can still use the site and tools (browser extension, Word/Google Docs plugins) as normal apart from the restrictions listed below:
'Basic' Plan: What you CAN’T do:
-
You will only be allowed to create up to 3 projects (if you’ve already created 3 or more then you won’t be able to create any more, but you can rename an existing project, or delete projects so you have less than 3, which will allow you to create new ones)
-
You can only send a maximum of 3 invitations per shared project
-
You will no longer receive article suggestions in the site, and smart citation suggestions in our Word/Google Docs citation tools.
-
You won’t be able to upload PDFs from external cloud sources (Google Drive, DropBox and OneDrive)
If a group of users wish to retain access to all Sciwheel features, one option to consider is Group subscriptions - more details on that below:
